Facilities

The Hut

This huge room seats 50 at a push but it's very quiet when Trevor is laying down the law. It's not always (ever?) as sparkly clean as this - the kids have just gone home on the bus, leaving us with the job of cleaning up properly.

The Kitchen

A big gas cooker, double oven, food heater, fridge, chest freezer, toasters and two sinks provide the campers with lots of washing up to do - Don't forget your tea towel!

Showers

We obviously don't allow photos in the showers but suffice to say that we have four showers that are available morning and evening. We alternate between boys and girls for the morning and evening showers and try to ensure that each camper showers enough to be inoffensive to his/her tentmates (personality notwithstanding)!

Tents

The tents at Ashover camp are large new tents that are permanently pitched on concrete bases. Nowadays the campers like to bring airbeds to use with their sleeping bags. Single person airbeds only please. No doubles - there simply isn't room in the tents.
